We’re grouping the Souls family into one entry to stop the whole list from becoming dominated by FromSoftware’s titles. Most of the Souls games follow a similar but punishing, formula. Elden Ring is actually one of the easier options despite having some of the hardest late-game bosses such as Malenia or Promised Consort Radahn.
Largely consisting of bosses, Cuphead requires absolute concentration and precision. It’s always charming and honestly a creative masterpiece, but it will push the player’s buttons more than the player will push any of their own. Those who are feeling really brave can also try Expert Mode.

The 2024 World Series was the championship series of Major League Baseball’s (MLB) 2024 season. There’s also the fact that TSW launched with a mandatory subscription fee at a time when that business model was in its death throes. Meanwhile the already more well-known GW2 was offering a more inviting buy-to-play model with no hint of a sub.

To be clear, I am not defending the relaunch. I think it’s one of the worst mistakes ever made in the history of the MMORPG genre. It fractured the playerbase to deliver a watered down version of the game, and it forever prevented new players from experiencing the original, superior incarnation of TSW.
